LEx Collaborative Rebrand

Learning Experience (LEx) Collaborative Branding

In 2019, the branding for Learning Experience Collaborative (LEx Collab) was created as a result of a change of focus by Education Service Center Region 12 (ESC 12),Huckabee, and Baylor University. The new brand would reflect the individual focus of each component organization as well as emphasize how and when they combined their efforts on joint projects.

As LEx Collab would change how the three organizations would work together, discussions took place at the most basic level, even exploring the possibility of starting over with an entirely new brand.

It as decided however, that it would be best to build on top of the existing LEx Labs brand, taking full advantage of the recognition of the brand and its assets. Further, as the strength of LEx Labs was very much in the experiences that educators and administrators had in planning experiments, exercises, and observations, preserving that was essential.
To complement the primary marks, a grouped mark was designed for use in contexts where all component organizations may be present, discussed, or referred to prominently. Additionally, a color block mark was designed for use as a shorthand for the grouped mark and for use when various pairings of the component organization would be discussed or referred to.
